Canadians are not just home bodies. We're involved in all sorts of issues in the wider world. A few are listed below.

- Land Mines and the treaty to get rid of them
- War in Afghanistan
- Global Warming/Greenhouse Gases
You are going to research one of these topics with a couple of other people. You are going to decide how you want to split up the information, and then you are going to post it on a wiki.
- Things to find out. Not all of these may apply to all situations.
- Why did your event get started?
- When did it get started?
- How did it end?
- How long did it last?
- Who were the main people involved?
- Who are the main people involved (if it is still going on today)?
- What is Canada's role?
- Why did Canada become involved?
- How did Canada become involved?
- What is the lasting significance of this event? How does it affect us even today?
- When you put this on your pages, don't do it as answers to the questions.
- Try setting it up as paragraphs and bullet points that use sentences.
- Use multiple pages (and subpages (Ask Mr. D. if you don't know how to do that) organize your information in a logical way.
- Include videos where appropriate.
- YouTube has a lot of great stuff, but it also has a lot of inappropriate stuff.
- Use discretion in what you pick.
- Include pictures where appropriate.
- Are you allowed to use the pictures you're grabbing?
- Did you give credit for the pictures you used?
- Use the newspaper. We have access to the Winnipeg Free Press Archives. Use them.
- Include links to useful information.
- Evaluate your sources. Just because it's on YouTube or on the Internet doesn't mean it's honest, true, or fair. Think critically.
- Provide a bibliography of the resources you used. Link to the sources you used.
- The wiki you will use is located here.
- You will gather links, videos, and other material from the Internet, and provide links to it or embed it as may be appropriate.
- Remember that copyright rules still apply. You can't just take pictures without permission.
