Task

Get an egg to arrive safely to its destination.

Equipment

You will access to use the following:

• Pulley
• Styrofoam cups
• Paper plates
• 1 roll of duct tape
• Straws
• Large washers
• Assorted masses
• 1 Dynamics cart
• Elastics
• Fishing line
  

Rules

1. Groups members must stay at the start line during the attempt.
2. Group gets one touch to get things going. (ie: no touching once the apparatus is in motion)
3. Equipment can be anywhere on the track except the target
4. You get one egg to practice with. If it breaks you may use a golf ball for practice.
5. Eggs cannot leave the classroom and can only be used for the purposes of this task
6. No LAUNCHING the egg

Egg with no cracks – 3 points

Egg with small cracks but not leaking – 2 points

Egg is cracked and leaking but still holding its “egg” shape – 1 point

Egg is crushed – 0 points

TARGET

Touching the inner circle – 3 points

Touching the middle circle – 2 points

Touching the outer circle – 1 point

Not touching any circle – 0 points
