Compiling and Sorting Data

  1. Using your Wingsmail go into Google Drive.
  2. Click the Create button and pick Form.
  3. Your form should have questions for the following items.
    • First name
    • Month of birth
    • Date of birth
    • Year of birth
  4. Make sure you're using the right question type for each item in the form.
    • For example, a question for name should not be multiple choice. A text answer would be appropriate.
    • For answers that use numbers a text box would also work, but you could use a multiple choice style question as well.
  5. Mail this form to enough friends so that you get at least 25 responses.
    • Make sure that your responses end up in a spreadsheet.
  6. Using one or more functions, create formulas in cells at the bottom of your data. Those formulas should answer the following questions.
    • What is the average age of the people in your birthday chart?
    • In another cell, what is the oldest age of the people in your birthday chart?
    • In another cell, what is the youngest age?
  7. Using a function, create a formula in a cell below your list of birthday months.
    • What is the most frequently occurring month in your chart?
  8. Using a function, create a formula in a cell below your list of birthday dates.
    • What is the most frequently occurring date in your chart?
  9. Create charts showing the range of birthdates, months, and years.
